Latest company news about Display Modules for Various Industries
Display modules are the raw LCD panels that make up displays in most electronics devices. Some of the top manufacturers that produce these raw panels are BOE-HYDIS, STI, PVI, CMO Chimei Innolux, Optrex, HannStar, Toshiba, Kyocera, CPT, LG, TIANMA, Toshiba, AUO, Samsung and Sharp.

ITD generally carries these display modules that have a wide viewing angle, high brightness, and high contrast ratios for a vivid picture. A quality display module must be space-efficient, have low energy consumption and be able to fit requirements of a range of products including kiosks, industrial and medical equipment, transportation displays and EPOS terminals (Electronic Point of Sale terminals).

Different display module sizes may have different specifications with the same underlying qualities. The 12.1 inch LCD module for instance comes with a higher resolution of 1024 x 768 and 500 nits brightness for viewing in high ambient light conditions. Major manufacturers such as AUO commonly use LED backlight, famous for their MTTF (mean time to failure) rating of well over 50,000 hours to provide a display product that is long lasting and very cost-efficient over its useful life.

The luminance ranges of typical industry display modules generally vary between 250 – 500 cd/m2 (candelas per square meter) with contrasts in the ranges of 350:1 to 700:1. Horizontal viewing angles vary between 120 – 160 degrees and vertical viewing angles vary between 120 – 160 degrees. ITD suggests panels that go beyond the typical specifications, to ensure a sharp, crisp image quality for viewers who demand optimal performance from a display. Selecting an LCD display with wider viewing angles is further enhanced by the help of an option of reverse and normal scans. Reverse scanning LCDs such as from AUO allows for the user to select the best angle to use when viewing the picture.

An LCD module is designed to operate in ambient temperatures of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, which is more than enough to cover the average outdoor and indoor temperature range for most climates. There is also wide operating temperature optional from -30 degrees to 80 degrees if customer needs. The LCD module’s own heat output is very low, since it usually operates between 3.3 and 7.0 Watts.

ITD’s commitment towards performance and cost-effective display solutions for devices makes their LCDs a great alternative to the typical industry displays. ITD’ LCD modules are hand-selected and ensure that they meet strict performance and environmental standards.
